Taylor Made Marketing Hosts Winter Apparel Drive

Taylor Made Marketing Hosts Winter Apparel Drive

For the past 2 weeks Taylor Made Marketing’s employees, family and friends have been rooting through their closets to find winter apparel to donate towards the New Jersey Cares foundation.  The New Jersey Cares Foundation supports many different areas of New Jersey in many different aspects such as providing food and clothes as well as mentoring children.  With the winter setting in fast, Taylor Made Marketing decided that helping out unfortunate children and adults in the New Jersey area that cannot afford to have winter apparel was the charity they wanted to support for the month of January.

“It’s awesome to get the opportunity to give back to our community.  Many of the coats that I have donated have been in the back of my closet for years so I’m glad they’re going to a good cause!” comments Account Executive Jose.

Account Executive Nick says, “When we started the drive last week the temperature was in the mid 50s now that it’s in the low teens it makes our coat drive even more of a bigger deal. I have a huge winter coat and even I’m freezing, I can’t imagine not having a coat at all!”

“I love the feeling of helping out people who are less fortunate.  It creates a sense of pride in myself and also creates a great bond and pride when we give back as an office!” – Human Resource Manager Ashley.

Taylor Made Marketing’s goal is to donate over 20 coats to the New Jersey Cares foundation; who will then distribute the coats to those in need.  Along with coats Taylor Made Marketing is also collecting hats, gloves and scarves to donate as well.

Taylor Made Marketing will continue to have their monthly charity event;s big or small.  President, Austin Taylor comments, “I’m amazed by how giving and charitable our employees are.  The excitement that’s generated for each and every charity event is contagious and is an extremely positive force in our office.  I can’t wait for next month’s event!”

If you’d like to contribute to our drive please drop of donations to 390 Amwell Road, Hillsborough NJ or contact Ashley at 908-829-4100.

Spotlight on Taylor Made Marketing's President, Austin Taylor, for the Firm's Plans for 2013

Interview with President Austin Taylor, about Plans for Taylor Made Marketing in 2013

Obviously Taylor Made Marketing had a great year in 2012, but we wanted to know what the next year has in store for the growing company.  So we sat down with President, Austin Taylor, to get the scoop.

Can you sum up 2012 and what Taylor Made accomplished this past year?
"Well, our 2012 was very successful. We expanded quite a bit and opened 2 brand new locations in the NJ and Philadelphia areas. We added another fortune 500 client to our firm which with more hard work will do again in 2013."

What are Taylor Made Marketing's goals for growth and expansion in 2013?
"Our goals are pretty ambitious but I think very attainable based on the hard working group of professionals we have here on our team. We want to open 3 more locations across the east coast next year and hopefully have some more options in terms of client to represent and surpass their expectations like Taylor Made Marketing has proved it can do in the past."

It is obvious that Taylor Made Marketing has a strong family atmosphere and work hard play hard philosophy, what are some of the things Taylor Made has planned to make an even stronger team in 2013?

"We do have a very strong family atmosphere but that can always improve. We believe that having an environment in which employees want and are excited to come to work each and every day fuels the great success we have here at Taylor Made Marketing.  Many of our employees foster friendships that are both in and outside of work.  For 2013 we will be continuing our weekly happy hour to build relationships between our staff.  We will also be having multiple staff outings such as Office Olympics and a Leadership Ropes Course.  Motions also have been put in place to start a team for a local softball league in the spring."

In 2012 Taylor Made had a lot of involvement with the community, specifically with Hurricane Sandy Relief and Toys for Tots, what are your plans for community involvement in 2013?

"Taylor Made will be having a monthly event where we will either donate time or raise money to help some great causes. I know there are some great ideas coming from our own executives on different charities that have personal ties to some of our employees that our company will more be more than happy to help out. We will of course continue to do our annual Toys for Tots event during the holidays but would also like to help out and adopt some local families around those times to try and help others enjoy the holiday spirit."

What is Taylor Made Marketing's goal for 2013 as far as new client acquisition and maintaining Taylor Made's existing customers?
"Taylor Made Marketing’s plan, as I stated, is to expand to 3 new locations in the next year. This means opportunity not only for our firm but more importantly for its employees. As far as new acquisitions and maintenance Taylor Made will continue to use its direct more personal marketing approach to wow our clients while also getting to know them on a personal level. This coupled with hard work and having fun in the process will ensure Taylor Made hits these goals and continues on its path as a leader in its industry."

Taylor Made Marketing Gets in the Holiday Spirit by Supporting Toys for Tots

Last weekend we were able to participate in benefiting the Toys for Tots foundation at our annual Christmas party.  It was great to hang out with fellow co-workers and support a great cause at the same time!!  Read some of our Press Release about it below...

Hillsborough, NJ, December 19, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Taylor Made Marketing recently had an office toy drive supporting the Toys for Tots foundation. Taylor Made Marketing chose to support this charity, because with the recent hurricane, many children in the New Jersey area won’t be able to have the holidays that they might have been used to in the past. Human Resource Manager, Ashley Russell comments, “We wanted to do something that had the holiday spirit while still benefiting the victims from Hurricane Sandy. Hopefully with our donation at least some children in our area will have a sense of normalcy.”

The Toys for tots foundation was established in 1947 to help give children in need brand new toys for the holidays. Toys for Tots’ objective is to "help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future."

By incorporating the charity event with their annual holiday party Taylor Made’s employees each donated a toy for the event. “The event turned out great. I really think our team had a good time with the charity. It was nice to see the huge hearts of our employees, with some of them bring 10 to 15 presents just themselves!” says Austin Taylor, President. All in all Taylor Made Marketing was able to donate over 100 toys to the Toys for Tots foundation, and plan to donate even more next year.

MVP - Nick - No Plan B only Plan A in Success

Nick (Junior) - MVP of the week

What’s your favorite color? Blue

Who your favorite sports team? The Pittsburgh Steelers

What’s your favorite food? Chimichangas!

What do you like most about working for Taylor Made Marketing?
The people I work with are great.  They are energetic and fun to be around all of the time.  They are constantly uplifting and I love the team environment the office has.

Nick’s Meetings
There’s No Plan Be there’s only Plan A to be Successful
Red Beard the Viking traveled the distant land so he could be able to provide for his tribe, but when he got to the island he realized that it was already inhabited by another tribe.  So in order for him to succeed he needed to bring his warriors there to battle them.  When they got there they got off their ship with their warriors they realized they were outnumbered 10 to 1.  When they turned to run to their ships in fear to get away, Red Beard had already burned their ships.  The warriors looked at him like they were crazy and he said, “we can either fight and die here today and we know we can save our tribe or we can go home and die slowly where we will still die of starvation and plague.”  So the men battled and fought and beat the other tribe which outnumbered them.  The moral of the story is that you can’t have a plan B because you’re already assuming that plan A is going to fail.

Will Smith grew up always knowing he that he wanted to be successful.  It started at school where he worked harder than anyone and got into MIT for engineering, but he knew that to truly be successful he needed something harder and more challenging.  So Will then got into Rapping and then started with the Fresh Prince of Bell Air, which lasted 6 seasons. Again though, he felt like he needed to be more challenged.  He broke out into the movie world in Independence day in 1996, with many many other great movies to follow.  Now, Will he grosses over $20,000 a movie and his movies have a combined gross of over $750 million.

Will never really viewed himself as particularly smart or talented, but where he excelled was work ethic.  While everyone is relaxing and others are on vacation, he’s working.  He says you don’t try to build a wall of success.  You don’t say I’m going to building the biggest, baddest wall of success that has ever been built.  You say “I’m going to lay this one brick at a time, and each and every brick I lay, I will lay down perfect”.  You do that every day and you will have a successful wall.  You must do your best and not stop moving forward every single day.  You have to approach life like there is no plan B and you will make what are doing work and you will be successful.

Our Brand New Office Space!!

Today is the first day here at our new Hillsborough location.  Hillsborough is beautiful and our Amwell Commons office area is perfect.  Our new location, not only is larger and nicer, but also makes us closer and more accessible for our clients and customers.  As of right now we moved into a temporary office in the same complex as our brand new office finishes up with its’ construction.  We had so many positive reviews and comments about the location from our employees.  We’re glad the new space will make it easier on them as well.  We’ll keep you posted and take some pictures of the new space as it comes together!!
